Role: Events Risk Assessor

Salary: £34,819 – £40792 + London weighting

Role Purpose

  • To provide risk assessments for significant events to allow correct resourcing and mitigation against identified risks across all King’s sites
  • Work with Head of Security/Site security manager/ King’s Events Team and dept/faculties to develop risk assessments
  • To request resources for event security
  • To provide continuity of risk assessment across all the College Campuses
  • To proactively follow up events to ensure lesson learnt are captured for future events

 

Role Profile

  • Responsible as part of a team for delivery of effective risk assessments for events at King’s College held across sites including the SHEW and other high-profile venues.
  • To provide risk assessments for significant events to allow correct resourcing and mitigation against identified risks
  • Liaison with clients to ensure that all aspects of risk around events have been considered
  • Ensure that communication of event details and requirements to service providers and operational teams is thorough and timely, making full use of IT systems to support this
  • Respond promptly and accurately to all enquiries within agreed timescales, producing all relevant paperwork and monitoring receipt of information within required deadlines.
  • Requesting and monitoring enhanced resource where required via security account manager
  • Raising of official College invoices for additional resource
  • Administrative duties to include compiling and preparing accurate risk assessments maintain paperwork and records
  • Work with Head of Security/Site security manager/ King’s Events Team and dept/faculties to develop risk assessments
  • To provide continuity of risk assessment across all the College Campuses
  • To proactively follow up events to ensure lesson learnt are captured for future events
  • To work as part of event security team
  • To provide cover for site security managers where required across KCL sites
